Sorry about that, I meant:

Fit them if you can, for some reason we fitted them but then removed them,
can't remember exactly why but I think it was because we fitted Bilstein
Shocks and replaced the bearing plate with the three bolts in it with one
from a Commodore.  This setup gives you a bit more caster and camber.  

However what the plates you are talking about do is stop the bearing from
punching out of the rubber, and believe me they move around a fair bit, I've
had to put a 6mm Alloy plate on the top to stop bending the commodore
bearing plate assembly, the statesman models come standard with a similar
plate.
If driving around on bitumen you shouldn't need them.
