Sounds like the masterswitch could have disconnected the battery from the
alternator, so its just gone straight up to open circuit voltage. Just a
thought. Tho the reg could be shagged also. As to the high revving, thats a
bit weird as if i remember correctly you arent running any idle control
gear. Perhaps the disconnected alt is now not loading the engine up like it
was when it was working?????????unlikely but worth a shot hey;-)
