G'day Terry, your BOV seems to be O.K. - I've only given the car one quick squirt around the block as I haven't had the exhaust fitted yet so it's a bit loud when opening her up !  I haven't touched the 1) dizzy timing or 2) boost level yet.  As it is the car takes off like a bat out of hell and pulls like the proverbial. The missus also took it for one blat around the block and came back with a grin from ear to ear !  I'm also trying to sort out the best way to mount the airflow meter and fit an air filter to it.

I've booked the car in for the exhaust on Tuesday, so I'll start playing after that.  I have to find a rubber boot too, to seal the shifter from the transmission tunnel.

Cheers, Wardy

Wardy,
Good news, that the 3/4" cylinder is much better, imagine how bad a 7/8" cylinder is with your brake combo - and I've seen plenty of them about. There will be a rush on 3/4" cylinder now?

ps Is my OBV still behaving itself, not leaking etc.

Terry

Subject: crappy brakes

Well, there was a discussion some weeks ago about the 'half boosted' feel some of us were experiencing on our '1600's when upgrading the brakes.  I had the same sloppy feel.  (180B booster, 13/16" m/c, 200B fronts, stock rears.).  Well I'm pleased to say Terry was once again right, use a 3/4" m/c.  I just swapped the two over (Thanks for that Terry !) and the pedal feel is unreal.  Boosted smoothly all the way down, I didn't know what I was missing.  And to think I put up with it for a year.  Thought you guys might like to know.
