I agree with Richard here on the SR311 2000 Sports clutch being up to 150hp,
I've seen hypo AJ 2.1 engines use this clutch in the forest with no dramas
as they are so overbuilt. it's great for the 510 fans as they last for a
very long time even with the occasional abuse. Someone recently asked if you
can still get them, did we see an answer to this.
If you really want a 9.5" clutch the 720 might be worth a look as that is
the same as the FJ20t clutch ie 24 spline x 32mm x 240mm but getting a 6
bolt flywheel big enough might be a problem but I think the L28 Z engine
uses a clutch with much the same specs but with a much lighter disc, the
L28T engine may have a disc that can take more power. It sounds like a lot
of trouble though to go down this path.

If you have an L20B engine, it has a 6 bolt flywheel. You can replace it
with the flywheel and clutch assembly from any 6 cylinder L series engine eg
240K, '78-84 Skyline, 240Z. They are a bolt on swap on an L20B. This swap
increases the clutch dia. by about 25mm (from memory) and feels very similar
to the original. The extra bite comes from the extra dia. For the best
result I would machine as much metal off the 6 cyl. flywheel as you can, to
get the mass down for better engine responsiveness.
On L18's and L16's you can use the "Sports Clutch". This is the clutch
assembly from the Datsun SR311, the "roadster" Datsun 2000 of mid/late 60's
vintage. This clutch handles the original 150HP weber equipped roadster
output with no problems, and bolts in to any 4 cyl L series engine. The
pressure plate is fairly heavy to operate but you get used to it.
These swaps are much kinder to you transmission if you are using it in a
long term road car.
Errol's suggestions are better for hipo installations - but you will shorten
the life of the driveline components - even Datto ones, due to the constant
shocks from the grabbing clutch plate. They are great for racing and
rallying, where the tyres are always on their limit of adhesion, and tyre
slip helps to absorb the shocks, but a hell of a lot harder on the car at
the traffic lights.
