I am to be corrected,
this link was not from Brad, but CP. So I take back any inference that
Brad was involved in modifying strut tops.
Apologies,
Mark Ward
C.P., please don't take
this personally, I do admire the ingenuity of your idea, but it seems pretty shonky to me. I fully believe
in freedom of information, ideas and expression of them, particularly on the
internet.
But putting a dummy bolt in, for goodness
sake. The engineers at Nissan didn't put three bolts in the mount for
the sake of it. Sound enginnering principles were adhered
to and obviously three bolts are used for a
reason. Further suggesting that you might need to superglue the plastic
covers down to stop people looking under them only re-enforces the shonkiness
of the excercise.
I would suggest that doing it right the first
time and getting it enginnered (ie camber kits, factory offset strut tops etc)
removes the legal problems associated with it, and the fact that if something
does break, it won't be on your head. Particularly if
you crash and kill someone.
