These were an import direct (maybe assembled in Australia from complete knockdown)
from Japan and offered as part of the 180B lineup in Australia. They were 2 dour
coupe of the 180B with sporting attributes. Things like twin SU's, 5 speed. They
were also rumoured to have different cam specs and valve sizes but I can only find
standard A87 heads on the few that I have had. They also came with the much favored
L18 W block. They were all IRS and had 14" wheels versus 13" on the standard.

They came with a tacho in place of the clock, cloth seats with headrests, intermittent
wipers and adustable rake seats. (Big stuff in the 70's).

In my opionion a very underrated car that suffered from following the hugely
successful 1600. Pollution requirements also started to kill off any sports
orientation that it may have had. I have had 3, currently have one as a rally car and
looking for another as a nice street car.

180B SSS with SR20............... hmmmmmmmmmmm

Cheers
