hey all, I have an ongoing carbie/accelerator problem.
I have had my motor and carbies tuned many times since I got my 1600 and I
always still end up with the same problem. Damn fine mechanics eh?. I should
just learn how to do it properly myself....

I have a 1800 mild cam motor with twin su's (hitachi i think). 5 speed.

The accelerator seems to stick and the motor idles high. I thought it may
have been dirty linkages etc and i cleaned these which made no
difference.Depending on the weather conditions (or how cold the car is) the
motor either idles too high or too slow and wants to stall. Its a pain in
the ass and I have to adjust the choke to make it run sometimes.

I figure that the problem could be more to do with either my carbies (needle
and seat) or mix...anyway..couple a Q's

Any ideas how to remedy the problem?
Is it worth keeping the mild cam on my street car?
Should I just burn the whole thing? :)
Thanx in advance.
sonja
