The quick fix is webers - theres a lot of rubbish talked about webers and
how hard they are to tune and maintain and stuff. I gotta say that i had
initial trepidation before i converted to webers and i have to say that they
would be the most reliable carbs i ever used (on a car) fan-bloody-tastic!!
SU's are typical british rubbish!! your problem is probly the same as i had
when i ran them.. ie the oil leaks out of the top chamber.. They recommend
sewing machine oil which is very thin..
i ended up using a mix of sewing machine oil and auto transmission fluid.. A
little improvement but still bloody hopeless.. I had to put oil in every few
days - and guess where the oil goes??
cheers
Mick
