Sonja,
I have the same problem. One thing to check is the damper oil in the vacuum chamber.
On top of vacuum chmaber is a plastic screw which attaches to the damper. Pull this
out and check the oil level. If low, fill it up (I can't remeber the amount off the
top of my head). If there is not enough oil the vacuum causes the jet to rise making
it idle high. Cold or hot air will make a difference. Adjust it for hot and runs
like a Gemini when cold and vice versa.
The other thing to check is how well the butterflies are closing. If they are not
sealing properly, they maybe letting to much air through (ie, greater vacuum). I
fitted a heavier return spring to help this.
