Hey all   Firstly, really sorry to hear about your car Chris, hope it all turns out okay for you!  Like Mel said it makes me worry about my car too..... and like 1600boy I got a $450 alarm but its true about not being able to stop a determined thief.... you can only slow em down, or annoy the hell outta them with 5 kill switches ;)   Anyway I was just wondering if there are any benefits in converting the ignition system in my 1600 to an electric setup (this is the kit which I've seen around http://www.cranecams.com/ignition1/7003000.htm) it uses the distributor housing and an optical sensor of some kind to get a signal then the computer works out when to fire.  The 'XR-700' ($220) produces a similar spark to a normal dizzy but the 'XR-3000' ($260) is supposedly a lot more powerful (30kV) but you need to shell out another $100 for a new coil.  Does anybody have any comments?
