I have a Fairly serious CA18det in my 1200 even though it has strut
brace, seam welding, 6 point cage and urethaned windscreen front and rear.
Its still cracked on both rear quarter corners not bad just where the lead
joins are. It does have very stiff susspension and is also driven very hard.
I think most datsuns do this with lots of power.
