Simon,
You will need to grind/file a bit of the spacer where it contacts the disc
area to give 3-4 mm clearance! Ensure that the stabiliser link has been
fully undone and then push the lower control arm down till the spacer fits
over the steering arm flange/ball joint thread. Then jack the arm under the
end close to the ball joint until the arm angle is less severe to fit the
bolts. Check the threads on the bolts are not damaged and they should go in
reasonably easily. Do up the stabiliser bar link and all should be well.
I will check my mail every 15 -20 mins for any further developments to help
you out! Naturally Datrats spacers would have fitted perfectly straight
away (Just joking!).
Cheers
Feral Errol

Howdy,
I have purchased some bump steer spacer from Stuart Wilkins racing (sorry
Errol) and i am now trying to fit them to the 510
having some "fun and games" with this.
two bolts thats all it should be TWO BOLTS!!!
alas it is not as easy as it seems.
i have 240k struts and 200b disks. The strut is also on a bad angle and i
cant screw the bolts. It is hard to get the strut straight, to get over the

spacer and lip to screw the bastards....i mean bolts in to the connector
ball joint thingy. So i thought i'll just check the spacer fits the bottom
of the strut......
The spacer is fowling the DISC
aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh....
Thats after i got rid of the dust cover. Is there a special way to do this
that i don't know about or am i just not made for playing with cars :(
Is this combination of suspension parts causing the problem???? or...
Can i grind the spacer so there is clearence and just strugle to get the
strunt on top???
Please Help
TIA
Simon
