Andrew,

I have been running 240K with new Munroe GT gas.
The shocks are not hard enough for racing, OK for normal use though.

So I scored a pair of 200B SX ones from a friend (loaner). Unlike the early
struts these are made in Aus by Armstrong, ? I think. Pedders did the shock
work on the SX for Aus conditions so they are uprated compared to the softer
Jap ones. They are similar to the 240K ones except for some small
differences like the disk offset and I haven't looked into the differences
in the strut length or spring cup mount as yet.

I think the disks are the same diameter (will check tonight) and the 200B
girlock caliper are probably lighter than the 240K twin spot. See disk
offset problem above though. Have used 200B fronts before on my first 1600
and they worked OK with metal kings. I'm not sure if 240K or 200B brakes are
better, but for what I'm doing I need something better than 240K.

Andrew Dennis I think I read before that you were going to update to 300zx
simitomos?
When you do can I buy your 10 inch disks and hilux calipers?

Thanks
Trev

trev,
and what was your motivation for changing from 240K to 200B
struts..... i thought discussion from a while ago arrived at 240K as
being "best" performance/cost compromise. or was that from a
braking standpoint i cant remember? perhaps you did it then for
other reasons. can u fill me in?!
thanks
andrew
