good evening ladies and gents
okay ive now got all the parts (i think ) that i need to build my motor.
here is the list
race prepped L20 block with everything balanced and mahle 88 pistons. dont know
what rods.
rajay turbo. dont know what size but its huge. i have found out that originally
it was designed for a plane. the ar ratio is .8 and im worried that itll be
too big but im going to try it anyway.
2 X 45dcoe webers
custom turbo manifold with garret 32mm wastegate.
series 3 bluebird elec dissy.
let the questions begin
firstly, i think that the comp ratio is going to be too high, so i was wondering
if there are other rods that i can use to drop the piston height and hence comp
ratio. please advise
secondly, im using a head off a bluebird series 2 in good nick and was wondering
what i should do to it ( without spending too much cash ) to make sure it flows
enough etc before i put it on. Also what cam sould i use (the lumpier the better)
lastly, does anyone know if it is possible to preload the underside of the floats
in the webers so the fuel pressure can be increased without overcoming the needle
and seat.
i thank all for thier anwsers in these matters but i must add a final point.
so far i have only spent $1000 for all these bits and i plan to have only spent
another $500 to finish it. so please bear this in mind when answering (good
but cheap options) as well as the fact that im not searching for drivability,
just raw power.
