Commondore rears VB-VTish; DB1086 bendix Ultimate pad (same pad as DB1166 but
no dowels)

The R31 PBR handbrake operates a worm drive up the guts of the piston, believe
me you'd have to see it to believe it but the handbrake does work well. To stop
the piston rotating when the handbrake is applied there is a slot machined in
the back of the piston and two little dowels on the back of the pad that fits
into this slot to stop the piston turning - ingenious eh. well no, not really
as the pads are a pain in the ar$e to change.

Two ways to do it, use the special tool (we had a thread on this a couple of
months back - Peter F found them in some place in Melbourne that has them
cheap) or pull the piston out of the bore and wind the worm back in which is
the way most of us do it and yes it's messy but pretty easy. You can't just
push the piston back in the bore with a G clamp like "normal" callipers.
