some interesting points you bring up. i drove a lot of the ford pre
production straight LPG prototypes, and although you mentioned
the literature says they produce similar power down low before
tapering off, funnily on the road they felt the reverse. ie less power
than petrol down low, but similar high up.
i know the engines are specifically modified/optimised for LPG....its
not just marketing hype. australia's supposed leading expert in
power generation systems from melbourne university had a lot to
do with the straight LPG engine (btw I think he agrees with you
regarding fuel cells being the way of the future....)
