Andrew,
Not sure if my fuel rail is non standard FJ20T (I've got the ic DR30
version) as we bought it off Stuart in 1993 with all the gear already on it.
The engine was not intended originally for street use rather to go into a
1600 Sports Sedan that I was a partner in. It had been in a Skyline DR30
RS-X in Japan that was also some sort of competitive car over there before
it's demise. It had a 5 speed Hollinger bolted up to it (we thought that was
a laugh, importing a Hollinger from Japan) and a programmable computer and a
standard one to play with, igniters, induction plumbing, basically we got
the lot, upgraded hybrid turbo and even got a couple of different types of
dump pipe with it. We bought everything except the Hollinger as it was
another $5K, and FJ's were damned expensive back then. I'd have to dig up
the receipts to be sure but I think we paid ~$8K - $9K for the whole deal
which included a 1600 complete fitting kit, a couple of gearboxes (2 types,
one was crap and the ZL71B lives on), and some nolathane bushings thrown in.

Back to your original topic, I've always found these injectors absolute
pricks of things to get back in place when I've had thing apart for one
reason or another. I've never heard of Nissan injectors being a problem, I
know the Toy injectors jump into place by themselves (nearly) so may be it
has an aftermarket rail, I must compare it to Wardy's next time I'm in
Sydney. It certainly bolts into place in what looks like where Nissan
intended.

The Sports Sedan was sold in 98 to some guys from Sydney (never seen or
heard of it since though) but I kept all of the FJ driveline so I hope to
get the engine back into a 1600 someday when time allows, but in the
meantime good ole L power rules in my 1600.

regards
Terry

Terry,
Did you have to fit a different fuel rail to suit the O-ring tops on the 351
injectors. These things flow over 100hp each. There out of one of the jags i
think.
