Twin 40mm webers with conservative chokes and venturie settings would be my
choice if you cant get a set of original carbs. These carbs combined with a
cam producing power from 2800 to around 5800 should be a good road/track
combination. power will be up and fuel consumption will also be up but with
conservative road driving it wont be too bad 28/30MPG highway driving could
be expected.
I wouldn't rush to fit extractors as the stock exhaust manifold is
reasonable, and much quieter on the road. If you are porting the head, then
match port a set of extractors and fit a 2 inch exhaust system with a free
flowing muffler for better results. Match port the inlets also of course.
