hi all
i am in the process of installing everything from a working but
ordinary 1600 into my new shell, including loom etc. i thought this
"parts" car was standard but there seems to be no regulator for the
alternator.
so i thought perhaps this had been swapped for an internally
regulated bosch, but found it was a lucas. did lucas make interally
regulated alternators, or has this alternator been installed
incorrectly? this lucas alternator has only 2 wires connected to it. i
would like to know where this alternator came and if it is suitable
how it should be wired into a 1600, so I can check it has been
done correctly so there is no risk putting it in my newly restored
shell.
can anyone help me please with answers?
