Urban legend on the BB I'm afraid, from personal observation and even
according to Aus Nissan parts Fiche. Although I'd be happy to be informed
otherwise! (cheap source of BB cores)
172KW is very feasible on an SR20, I know of one particular NSW 200SX with
176 rwkw using the stock turbo and a cut down Mack truck IC, 18psi boost is
not a long term deal with a stock T28 as they use a ceramic turbine wheel
which has a tendency to come unstuck and disappear down your dump pipe
(voice of experience here!.. ouch!) at any more than 16psi over the long
term.
