1:1 is a good stroke to bore but pending on your equipment and
specifications there are better ratios for high revving

Cast iron flywheels can be lightened by machining the back of them but they
have a tendency to self destruct at high revs. better off saving $$$ and
getting proper aluminium one at half the weight and million times safer.

Lower ratios don't break easier than higher ratios, they simply allow better
useage of higher rev range in top end engines.

I heard 1:1 is best for power, what do you mean by "or better"

I have a 6cylinder clutch and flywheel sitting on my garage floor which is
1kg lighter I think. Is there a limit to how light you should make a
flywheel?

What is this?

Do lower ratios break easier?
