All,
I got a 55amp Bosch from a S2 Bluebird.

BTW
I have heard that the Bosch internal regulator is setup very "safe" and by fitting an
aftermarket external regulator you can get 10-15% more current.
If you don't mount the battery in the engine bay you should probably fit an external
regulator anyway to give the battery maximum life.
Thoughts?

Nick

Lachlan,
I know that the Aussie Nissans/Datsuns used Lucas, Bosch and
Hitachi. The one to go for is the Hitachi...I think it was 50 something Amps
from memory and was used here in the early 80's. The Bosch is Ok but may be
what you already have. As for the Lucas....I need not say!
Regards,
        George
