Ryan,
If using a S2 bluebird dizzy the mechanical and vacum advance is locked solid. The
static timing is then set at 10 deg btdc with most computers but some require a
setting of 0 deg. once this is done then all timing settings are programed into the
computer. The signal from the S2 bluebird dizzy and module can be read by most if not
all after market computers. The mt8 will do this. The mtx8 will do this but will also
run 4 coils that come with it.Its always a good idea to service the dizzy aswell as
2 deg of play in the dizzy translates to 4deg at the motor.Ive also been told that
the single module multi coil setup from the 4g61/4g63 motors can be made to work
with the S2 dizzy which is someting im looking into as i have a couple of these
setups sitting around. The turbo a/r's should be written inside the compressor outlet
and inside the turbine inlet unless of course its on the outside.Sounds like it
might be one of the roto-master setups.Does it have a flared compressor inlet.
