Ryan,
.3 a/r on the exhaust housing could be right although i've never seen one.The .4
a/r housings were widely used. These small a/r housings were introduced when they
started using wastegates. These were made before the introduction of the T3.They
have a small nozzle which increases air speed allowing the turbo to spool faster
than the previous non wastegated large exhaust housing type truck turbos. The only
draw back is that they do create a bit of back pressure but this can depend on the
turbine trim which is usually "N" trim.I've seen many of these turbos make over
300hp.Many of these turbos use the Turbonetics style comp housing which is flared
to a 3" inlet and usually have a "s" trim comp wheel but can be modified to suit V
or H trim or even 60-1 or any of the 3" V or H trim wheels. Some of the other units
use a V-band type comp housing. The mtx8 will control 4 coils and depending on what
state your in a microtech agent should be able to configure the computer and supply
a wiring diagram to suit.Hope I haven't bored you to death.
