Subject: Copper gask. sealing probs??

hi, that is incredible, on my l20 with z18 head, i used a ridgecrest 2mm
copper gasket, and guess what it is also leaking coolant out of the exhaust
side!!!!!!!
in the beginning, when i was ringing up ridgecrest about the gasket they
said to use three bond as well, then i said what about hylomar? they didnt
even acknowledge that i said it.
so what i am gonna do now is , take the head of again, clean it all up then
get some hylomar in a sprayable can, and give it a really good coat , and
hopefully it will be ok.
hylomar is a blue colored sealant,..... it is non silicone and comes in a
tube and a spray can.
i know that rolls royce use it, and i think that it is madeby/or under
liscence by them as well.
it is especially made to use on head gaskets.

ps. ridgecrest said to put it around all the oil and water holes, not
over the whole head gasket, which i done.
maybe , i think that if it was put over the whole head gasket it would
be better sealing,..
even though the seallant would only be bugger all thick after the head is
tightened down , i think that this is the problem putting it down in
certain areas, cause instead of having a even coat over the whole surface
area, it is only in certain spots ,, and you would have a layer of three
bond then head gasket, and not giving a complete flat tightening...
do you get what i mean?
