I have had no probs with my head gasket on my z18. it also is a 2mm ridgecreast. I 
have the oring in the blick and the matching groove in the head.   sorry to say that I 
dont think tighting it down any further will help.  All i can really say is make sure 
you get sealant around each and every hole, including the ones that arnt used. when i 
last pulled my z18 down I could hardly shift the head.
