Hey,
Im in a not too impressed mood at the moment as ive just spent all
yesterday rebuilding my z18 using a ridgecrest 2mm copper head gasket. I
had the head machined and o-ringed, and i used 3 bond sealer around the
water and oil holes etc. Anyhow i finished it off today and started it
up only to find that coolant is slowly dripping from the exhuast side
between the head and the block!!! Im rather pissed and was wondering if
anyone had any brain waves or have i just gotta get my self into the
mood to do the whole bloody operation over again?!?! We torqued the head
bolts to around 60 ft/pounds. I have left it to cool down (it only ran
for about 2-3minutes) and am thinking i might try re-torqueing the head
bolts a bit tighter - but i dont want to strip them either
Its all f#@ked basically
Steve.
