What i think his old man is refering to is commercially available parts.Most of
the late model 4 valve twin cam stuff use a flat tappet type arrangment which
has limitation on lift etc.Where as the old pushrod V8 with a roller type setup
can offer huge valve lifts even with flex.Dont get me wrong im not trying to
say that pushrod motors are superior but there is plenty of parts available to
help.
