Shannon's do. For me (20 years old) no claims
thus far, no offences they will give me 3rd party property for just over 400
bucks. They don't care what mods I do to the engine or the car as long as
its approved by my local DOT.

my wife works for GIO and advises me that
becareful that their are hardly any insurance companies that will offer
insurance for a under 25yrs old with a Turbo/modified car whether it is
comprehensive or third party property.....definitely look into
it.

You should check out that insurance cost if you
have to have it - it might be totally unviable to go with an engine
conversion.
I reckon there is still life left in the
L-series naturally aspirated not to mention more if you turbo it and a few
people are doing this, getting power comparable to twin cam
engines!

wondering for my next project ( I pick it up next week ), would it be
cheaper in the long run to just buy an SR20DET ($2400) - SSS Automotive,
or i would settle for an SR20DE ($750) - SSS Automotive ---- + factor in
the fact of insurance etc for an 18yr old. But also factor in that i would
be looking to turbo in the next feew years.
Also - what are
the major differences between the DET and the DE apart from the blindingly
obvious. Thanks.
