Theres insurance companies in melbourne that will
insure modified vehicles as well.Theres also onother one that works in
conjuction with AAMI,theire called just cars insurance. Its for modified cars, but
i can tell ya now they are more expensive than shannons.Be carefull with vigil.I
wouldnt touch em with 10 foot pole.I had a sigma with them.It got collected
while parked.I made the claim, but the following year they refused to renew my
policy. That was one claim.I had other claims with my van with NRMA but
they were not at fault accidents.BE WEARY.

Yeh their mainly the ones that do insure modified
vehicles. Im insured with Shanons for my Datto 120y coupe but my friend
recently got knocked back for his car modified Gemini he is 24yrs old but he
might have had previous claims that I don't know about.

becareful that their are hardly any insurance companies that will offer
insurance for a under 25yrs old with a Turbo/modified car whether it is
comprehensive or third party property.....definitely look into
it. Peter

next project - Help + Differences You should check out that insurance cost if you have to have it
- it might be totally unviable to go with an engine
conversion.I reckon there
is still life left in the L-series naturally aspirated not to mention
more if you turbo it and a few people are doing this, getting power
comparable to twin cam engines! zac

Subject: SR20DE Vs SR20DET 4 next
project - Help + Differences List, was just
wondering for my next project ( I pick it up next week ), would it be
cheaper in the long run to just buy an SR20DET ($2400) - SSS
Automotive, or i would settle for an SR20DE ($750) - SSS Automotive
---- + factor in the fact of insurance etc for an 18yr old. But also
factor in that i would be looking to turbo in the next feew
years.
Also
- what are the major differences between the DET and the DE apart from
the blindingly obvious. Thanks.Nick
