Title: RE: SR20DE Vs SR20DET 4 next project - Help + Differences

How long have you owned the Z18 for Nick?  And you need a new project.  Yours must be going better than mine, mine has heaps of project left in it.

You should check out that insurance cost if you have to have it- it might be totally unviable to go with an engine conversion.

I reckon there is still life left in the L-series naturally aspirated not to mention more if you turbo it and a few people are doing this, getting power comparable to twin cam engines!

List, was just wondering for my next project ( I pick it up next week ), would it be cheaper in the long run to just buy an SR20DET ($2400) - SSS Automotive, or i would settle for an SR20DE ($750) - SSS Automotive ---- + factor in the fact of insurance etc for an 18yr old. But also factor in that i would be looking to turbo in the next feew years.

Also - what are the major differences between the DET and the DE apart from the blindingly obvious. Thanks.
