Chris
Thanks for the rap as a painter!

I am just one who has back yard resprayed many years ago, and then learned a
lot more from this list, put it into practice on a couple of Dattos (and one
Mazda). I'm not an expert but I am pretty fussy about the finish on my
bodies and happy with the results I've got using acrylic paints.

I have no experience using 2 pac, as you must use proper breathing gear to
avoid inhaling the cancer causing fumes it produces.

Chris, you are right in saying have a go yourself. You can buy all the good
gear and get the job done for half the cost of a professional respray. Then
you can always use the gear again to keep your paint job in top nick, or
change colours if thats your go. Acrylic paint keeps for decades if
properly sealed in its container, so you will always have matching paint for
touch up work.

The archives probably have all my experience recorded so have a look there
first. If not, give me the word and I will detail how I go about a respray.
Bruce Fergusson would also be a good advisor, wouldn't you Bruce.
