Tell me, how can they tell you were speeding, even if you were. Do they have radars for eyes or what??? I don't think you could even get a traffic infringement on the basis of eyewitnesses, let alone have to worry about insurance. If it's his fault, it is his fault, simple. One thing the Japs do correctly is take a camera everywhere they go. I take a leaf out of their book (not everywhere), but there is always one in my car. When (touch wood), I have an accident, I will just jump out there and then, snap up as much evidence as I can, and then move the cars, and talk business. Unless I am at fault offcourse! Sorry to heat about the car though.

That dude in the brand new BMW 530 pulled out from a side street, and stuck his nose in the 2nd lane, MY LANE!! It was a pretty hard hit, enough to rip his bumper off and smash it against my bonnet, p/s pillar next to the windscreen, take off the mirror, all while crumpling everything from the p/s headlights back to the strut tower. His nose (bumper, grill, lights, thermos, part of radiator) hooked it self just above the bumper and below the bonnet on the Datto just as I applied the brakes. He wasn't looking when he pulled out, so it's his fault as far as insurance goes. Although six eye witnesses (READ, DO GOODERS) claim I was speeding, but that should only mean I get a neg driving ticket or similar from the Cops, I can live with that. :) But I only just got the car engineered and Rego'd after a five year build-up 17 days ago, so I'm being quite restrained when I say, I'm a little upset about the damage. I reckon there could be $5-8K to my car, and I'm a little underqualified to estimate how much it'd cost too fix a $100K Beamer without a front end (lol). The Tow Truck driver said that even IF I was speeding it is still classified by insurance as his fault as he didn't negotiate the turn safely. Has anyone else had any similar experience with an accident that can calm my worries about mortgaging the Datto to pay for a BMW front end? Anyway, thanks for the words of kindness Iggy, I might end up coming out to the Sydney Datsun Club meeting this month, but it'll have to be in a Mazda :( cya l8r, - Jeremy http://datto.tweakit.net -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Sandejas, Ignacio Sent: Thursday, 17 January 2002 6:51 PM To: Ozdat (E-mail) Subject: To FLY-16H Jeremy (?) I was at North Sydney and saw your car and the Beemer. I however only heard it and didn't see it actually happen. I was going to say hello but thought the time was probably inappropriate. Anyway good luck with it. It really hurt to see your car like that.
