They are clutched type (i.e. mechanical), use uni half shafts same as open R180 off 240K, C210 etc (trunnion), they're usually noisy until they warm up and the going price usually is ~$1200. On the CV style, most of the conversions in 1600's i've seen are done by "Dodgy Bros" but if you wish to look at one that's done right then lookup Pete Liebig's 1600 from the Ozdat files.
