Andrew,

>From your description they are indeed the one's that 1600/180B ppl are
after.

They are clutched type (i.e. mechanical), use uni half shafts same as open
R180 off 240K, C210 etc (trunnion), they're usually noisy until they warm up
and the going price usually is ~$1200.

On the CV style, most of the conversions in 1600's i've seen are done by
"Dodgy Bros" but if you wish to look at one that's done right then lookup
Pete Liebig's 1600 from the Ozdat files. It's a Soobie VLSD diff but it's
nearly the same deal as the Datto variety, Pete's has R31 discs to make it a
real nice conversion.

regards
Terry

Hi Terry,

So these are the R180s that are sort after then, and "bolt in"?? And
they are mechanical? Are the trunnion style half shafts difficult to
source?

Are these the diffs that appear to be going for around $1200?
If ship over a few of them it looks like I may be able to get them for
around the $500 mark.

The guy reckons he can also get the CV style R180s too - but
what axles have to be used with these?

Any help is appreciated
Andrew
