Adam, It just occurred to me that not all 1600 xmembers use all 4 bolts to attach the engine mounts. Some of them only have 2 of the holes with the tack welded nut (lower from memory but don't quote me) and the other 2 holes are blanks. All 4 holes on the mount plate should still line up though.
Something else, you said you were fitting a SR, yet those pics were both called fj20t.jpg? regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Terry Rudd Sent: Saturday, 16 February 2002 11:01 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: HELP please Adam, I can't spot what's wrong from the pics. There's definitely a problem if the mounts don't line up with all 4 bolts. The brackets are different, i.e. left and right - check you haven't be given 2 the same or something. Both of the 1600 mounts are the same for either side, it only the brackets that are different. regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Adam Jackson Sent: Saturday, 16 February 2002 10:05 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: HELP please Hi Rick, The holes aren't lined up. Well the bottom holes are lined up with the top holes of the engine mount. But not bottom to bottom. if that makes any sense cheers, Adam ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rick White" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, February 16, 2002 9:48 PM Subject: Re: HELP please > Adam it looks lined up to me. > Did you take the pic of the wrong side? > > > --- "Adam Jackson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/fj20t/mount.jpg > > > >here's a link, i'll take more if this pic isn't all that helpful > > > >----- Original Message ----- > >From: "Terry Rudd" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >Sent: Saturday, February 16, 2002 8:31 PM > >Subject: RE: HELP please > > > > > >> Adam, > >> I don't know the details of a Maddat kit as i've never used one but what > >> engine mounts are you supposed to use with it?
