nup I already thought of that. the only things I touched were the master and booster.
anyway I am about to go do a bit of work to the car so will find out what it is today.

Did you remove the callipers?  If so the bolts may not be tight.

    Graeme the only thing I changed was the master and booster! I guess I did
    rebleed it too. (ps they are 260z sumitomos).
    It is a quite loud thud too, I can feel it through the brake pedal.
