Chris,

Here is a tech tip on how to rewire your 1600 for bright lights that
Chris from TurboVan posted and I am hosting:
http://www.dslnorthwest.net/~nowroc/

Get any H4 (high/low) and H1 (highs) lens. Hella makes a set, but they
are very spendy. Just get any lens that allows you to replace the light
bulbs. Then after upgrading your wiring, replace the bulbs with
something hotter. Stock is 55/60watts, I run 90/130s in my H4s and 130s
in my H1s.

I have not seen any cycle lens that fit, but why bother.

Enjoy,

Subject: Headlights for 1600

G'day all,

The old question of what are the best headlights for 1600's. I have
just
finished installing 200B indicator stalks to my '69 and have installed a
set of relays for the high and normal beam, however i would still like
to
install some better lights.

As i remember the std's are 37.5/50W and you can get 55/60W or something
like that but i think that's all you can get.

If that is the case has any one ever tried different bike headlights? im
not sure how many run small (5 3/4") lights thou. Many that run single
headlights have 6 1/2" ones.

If no one has tried this option, then i'll go have a look around the
bike
wreckers some time.

Thanks

Chris
