You've done the hard bits fitting relays. Go and buy a set of high quality 5 and 3/4 inch lights that will take Halogen globes (Bosch/Hella/Cibie replacements are all good). You can buy H4 QI globes for these in 100w/90w and 130w/90w power. Inner high beams lights take 100w H1 globes. This will really improve your night vision with 460w of high beam lighting and 180W of low beam light. Higher power lighting is available for inner (high beam) but you will need to upgrade the alternator capacity above 35 amps if you use these for long night trips.
A tip. Have a look around "U pick" wreckers for these lights. I picked up a couple of near new Bosch lights for $4.95 each (including QI globes) out of a '70's Mazda recently. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Simpson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, 7 April 2002 23:37 PM Subject: Headlights for 1600 > > G'day all, > > The old question of what are the best headlights for 1600's.
