Chris, Good to hear no major damage and you're back on the road again. Part of the joys these little breakages from time to time - something that some folk just can't understand why we drive our 30 yo Dattos.

The diff would sag one one side, so i found an olkd rubber bush that just screwed onto it.Jacked the diff up so it was in the right position, screw the rubber on which musta caused enough friction to make the bolt bite instead of over torque and make the locating bolt slip. Did it all up again adjust the rear brakes made just everything was as it should (most bolt were finger tight not good with 300hp haha) and went for a drive smooth as, and a bit faster as the brakes at the rear were bindin slightly. So far so good :) so lets hope it stays that way. Im sure ill have more tails of woe when i put all my other car back together, still have to finish painting it. Glad to here your problems are easily sorted hah but youve got a few years of experience on me yet :) regards chris >From: "Terry Rudd" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: RE: Things that go bang >Date: Sat, 4 May 2002 23:52:05 +1000 > >"it appears the rear right hand side locating one has snapped a weld >or something." > >Chris, >I hope that isn't too badly damaged as it is a bit of a pain to repair. >These things have a tendency to snap or weaken in rear end collision on a >1600.
