As far as I've been told, they are more of a gimmick than an accurate tool. My mate has the Jaycar kit. Not the LED one, its the one that actually displays the air/fuel ratio as a number. He hooked it up to his O2 sensor. This step is important: You then must have it calibrated against a professional air/fuel ratio meter. Once this is done it works really well. It is just as accurate the professional machines for a fraction of the cost. But as I said only if you have it calibrated against a professional meter.
