It was mostly city driving with a bit of freeway.  I only have a 4 speed.
Yeah I think you are right about the way a carby can use a wild amount of
fuel if you tell it to.  My motor wont start at all without the auto-choke
(so much for 'just rip it out you dont need it' as some people up here say),
and so it will always guzzle the fuel for the first 5 minutes of driving.

I used to have a 1.8L '89 multipoint EFI SOHC Pulsar and I would gladly go
back to one if I could find a good one....  I'd have to raise the rear view
mirror though...   otherwise I cant see where I'm going (they didnt design
them for 6'1" tall people).  Once I got from Mackay to Brisbane (1100km) on
$50 worth of premium.   At 75 per litre of fuel thats 66.6 litres.  Thats
60mls per kilometre and 6.05L per 100km.   Am I dreaming or is that about
right for an auto 1.8L '89 Pulsar, cruising at 80 (the torque converter
locks up at 73) down the highway all day?
