Hi Ross, Yes, it would affect the weight distribution of the car. The Stanza on Eddie's site has had most of the radiator support panel chopped out to make way for the extra cylinders. This would almost definately be frowned upon by the RTA. You could keep the weight distribution closer to stock by using the original L28 engine mounts and setting the rear of the engine into the firewall but it'd probably be quite a hassle to have it properly engineered etc, not to mention the cost of chopping your firewall and transmission tunnel up.
(I want to do this in a 1600: my 71 sedan shell has a big rust hole in the centre of the firewall that creeps onto the top of the trans tunnel. My rationale is that it needs to be cut out anyway!)
