Same here, the r30's a good old bus, I've turbo'ed a std L28 in a 280z, I
just used L20a turbo set up with the l28 ecu, k&n filter, free flow, on a
chassis dyno picked up 30 rwhp, but the turbo was to small and it ran out of
puff at about 5800 rpm, but it was pretty damn good in the mid range.

with them. The L24E engine seems to me to be very reliable in stock form but
the bottom end seems to me not to be built to the usual L series standards
that we enjoy on our 4's. I've seen a few of them modified to give an
increase of power in the +25% region, and most of not all of them have
grenade in one way or another, usually a conrod or gudgeon letting go. One
in particular that got the L20A turbo upgrade did it in style, and I've
never seen a bigger hole in the side of an L block before. What this bloke
then did (he's my local exhaust builder) is put a reconditioned L26 block
under a L28 head and bolted all of the L20A turbo bits back onto it. He's
modified the induction side a bit, pod and the usual stuff, nice exhaust as
you expect but not much else and it's a good performer but not what I'd call
a screamer, probably around similar performance to a stockish Z18ET in a
1600. The L20A turbo is a !

engine has been reliable for over 2 years now. I don't know what EMS it's
running (I'm guessing it's also L20A-T) but I will see him tomorrow week and
can ask if you're interested.

lower comp pistons in, and running a toyota SC14 s'charger, with 7-8 psi.
will the factory ECU be able to handle this, if i just remap the dizzy?? or
what would be the max boost i could run using the stock ecu
