I think one of the things that would affect a flywheel more than a
turbine is the pure size of the thing, as having such a large diameter
compared to the turbine would send the centripital forces through the
roof. Also an unbalanced turbne wheel probably wouldnt make it to
100,000 rpm, wouldnt the extra load on the bearings slow it right
down?
