Hey All, Thanks to all who helped me get the SUs going, after a hellish weekend I finally got them running. The bloke at the local carby shop looked at the floats, said it looked good, and to try a regulator - didnt work. So I then changed the needle and seats in the bowl, tested each one hooked up to the pump alone and they worked, great, except when they were bolted up to the motor the old problem resurfaced - wtf, fuel leaking out etc etc.. I thought about it, and the only difference was that when I tested them individually the overflow fitting wasnt hooked up, when bolted up I connected the overflows to the tank return line, so I disconnected them, and it fixed the problem. So I potentially bought a regulator and new needle/seats for nothing, but at least the job is done properly now.
