yep, its just the base beacon red....whats orange peel???
on the tin of paint, it says to only wait a day until buffing?? i guess the longer i wait the better it will look?? im painting just the 4 doors, roof, and 1/4 panels at the moment (i have the other panels off the car to do later) so im thinking, ill just keep adding coats until i have used about 2ltrs of the paint
also, ive noticed, once ive done a coat, the roof gets covered in all the dried paint dust thats in the air....is is normal to wipe the car down (ill use thinners to do that) between coats??

cheers
ben

hi, if your doing a solid color  in acrylic laquer(not pearl or metallic),   its always good to put on around  7 or eight coats, or to allow your self enough build, to be able to color sand (wetrub with 1500 grit),  the orange peel out, and machine buff to a nice shine.
if your doing it in metallic or pearl put enough color on to get goood coverage, then apply 7 or 8 coats of clear for your build.
you could use less coats of paint but u dont want to  worry about any rub thru, if your rubbing out any imperfections out of the paint.
i have gone up to ten coats.
buff car after a few weeks of drying.
