Mark,
Clutch vibration is usually caused by a broken pressure plate or even
depressed release fingers or a combination of both, or even loose bolts
(pplate or flywheel) either way it's a box out for a look see. The springs
usually only ever break on one side so the pressure isn't applied evenly to
the clutch plate when you engage the clutch. The telltale symptoms are
shudder when taking off in 1st or reverse, and usually there aren't many
signs of anything wrong in the higher gears unless it's totally shagged.
Noises are a hard one, I reasonable at identifying them if I can hear it,
but other than that I'd be guessing. Most noises to do with the clutch are
spigot related but I can't associate the noise with the symptoms.

Not good news this one.

regards
Terry

Subject: clutch

Hi again,
I'm just hoping someone can tell me what might be causing me to get
vibrations through my clutch pedal when it is pushed in? I'm also getting
quite loud noises from my thrust bearing, it will go 'woooo' when you push
the clutch in to change gear.
Any ideas would be great, thanks
Mark Firman
