Julian, Do a compression test to eliminate problems in that area, check for signs of head gasket failure (bubbles in rad etc) and check/change plugs. If that doesn't fix it may be you've got a fowled injector but I doubt it - they very rarely die in that area although the fuel pump may be a bit low on pressure at idle - how's the alternator etc, pumping out more than 12v.

I replaced the leads which made a marked difference (I got power back but it still shudders while accellerating). Im going to change the plugs this weekend and the timing is corrrect. I've swapped the coil with another one but no difference, and im hesitant to buy a new coil unless its necessary. Basically it idles rough, sounds like its missing and does not accellerate smoothly, kind of shudders. Could something be up with the dizzy? Ive checked the computer as well but It reports everything is fine... or maybe the injectors or fuel side of things? Ive also swapped the fuel pump (from my spare skyline) but that didn't make a difference. thanks - Julian --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
