Hi Terry, My car is a 69/70 model, but I also have a 68 and 71 as wrecks. Measuring the distance from the bottom of the xmember to control arm pivot point on each I got:
69/70 road car with 240K struts: ~3.75cm from bottom of xmember 68 model wreck: ~3.8cm from bottom of xmember 71 model wreck: ~3cm from bottom of xmember Therefore given the inaccuracies in measuring this, I figured I had an 'early' xmember. Do these figures sound right, or is there a better/more pertinent meaurement I should take to establish whats going on? Thanks Andrew > Andrew, > > At that suspension height, and with 240K struts you would nearly have to > have a late model xmember, and intermediate has more like 10-12 degrees and > a pre 69 has ~15-20 degrees.
