What I meant was that it never had a return spring, it all just seems to
be held in place by fitting well. Though I am beginning to thing that
it is something to do with the gearbox - I just drove back to uni and
now taking off in first gear is a real lottery, sometimes it all goes
smoothly, and other times just as I start moving it erupts in massive
grinding noises that start dogs howling for kilometers, so I guess it is
time to find a new box. I was really hoping that this one would hold out
until I jammed an RB in it too.
